Today I printed off the first four revised chapters of my novel, complete with character, location and plot point notes. A very exciting day. Now onto to the next 10,000 words! It will hopefully go a lot quicker than the first lot now I’m getting into the swing of things. Half my time is spent going back and double checking descriptions and character attributes, so keeping up with the notes for each scene should really speed things up.
I shan’t be writing much here today. Somehow I got it into my head that every post had to be between 300 and 700 words. Sometimes I just don’t have that many things to say and ultimately end up saying nothing at all. As my therapist always said, ‘If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing badly.’ Perfectionism can get in my way and become paralysing. It’s become a common thread in my life, but that’s a story for another post.
Thanks for reading
